I encountered DXLP7 bugs even before it was rooted. After rooting it using CF Root, I encountered the following problems so far after a few hours of use:
- Google Play Store force closes and won't launch. FIX: Download Google Play Store v3.5.15.
Update 03/25/2011: Found no other problems caused by rooting DXLP7 :-)
A little reminder before rooting: Rooting DXLP7 will increase your flash counter and break its warranty. But with Chainfire's Triangle Away, you can reset flash counter to zero :-) It's incredibly easy and no need for a USB Jig. It works for DXLP7 or any ICS-based ROM.
Now if you're planning to install XXLPQ, don't. I encountered too many bugs on it. I'm not sure if it was because I rooted it. Still, I won't recommend that you install it.

How To Root DXLP7 On Your SGS2
- Download DXLP7 CF Root
- Unzip the downloaded file. You should see a .tar file.
- Launch ODIN on your computer and select PDA. Select the .tar file you unzipped. (File name: CF-Root-SGS2_DX_XTC_LP7-v5.4-CWM5). Again, don't click anything else on ODIN.
- Turn off your phone.
- Switch your phone to download mode by pressing Volume down + Power button. When prompted, press Volume up to confirm.
- Connect your SGS2 to your computer using a USB cable. The message "Added" should appear on ODIN and this small box on the upper left must turn yellow.
- On ODIN, click Start and wait for it to finish.
- Once ODIN is done flashing, the green box on the upper left will turn green and say "PASS".
- You now have a rooted SGS2 on DXLP7 ICS :-)
the triangle removal apps is gone
ReplyDelete@Kanisius Barus: No it is not. I checked the Android Market link (now Google Play) and the link on the original XDA thread :) I will have to delete your comment after a few days because you might mislead my readers. But thanks for the heads up!
