How To Install Adyscorpius MIUI v2.3.1 On Your SGS2

This is an installation guide of the latest Adyscorpius MIUI v2.3.1. If you aren't familiar to it, it is a ROM that combines two eye-candies - the original MIUI ROM and a pure ICS experience. Compared to the first version (v2.1) released a few weeks before, a lot has changed.

Before you install this ROM, here are the prerequisites.
  • Your phone needs to be rooted.
  • Perform a Nandroid backup of your current ROM before installation. I use the Clockworkmod Recovery Image.
  • Perform a backup of all user apps and data using Titanium Backup.

HOW TO INSTALL MIUI 4 FRESH ON YOUR SGS2
  1. Download the following: Adyscorpius MIUI v2.3.1 | Service Pack | KP8 modded kernel
  2. Transfer downloaded files to /sdcard.
  3. Reboot to recovery mode.
  4. Select wipe data/factory reset
  5. Select mount and storage > wipe system and Go back to previous menu when it's done.
  6. Select install zip from card > choose zip from sd card > AdyScorpiusMIUI-i9100-2.2.3_Updated.zip
  7. After install again select install zip from card > choose zip from sd card > AdyScorpiusMIUI_SP1.zip
  8. Next, select install zip from card > choose zip from sd card > KP8-AdyScorpiusMIUI-Mod.zip
  9. After installing, select wipe data/factory reset
  10. Select reboot system now and wait to reboot. You are now running MIUI 4 Fresh v2.3.1 on your phone :)
AFTER REBOOT (GUIDE + OPTIMIZATION)
  1. Wait 10 minutes to let your phone adjust.
  2. Select agree OR disagree for Location Consent
  3. Check Use by default for this action, select com.android.provision.DefaultActivity OR Setup Wizard
  4. Select language and set time.
  5. DON'T sign in to your Google Account yet > Next
  6. Select preferences for Use Google location > Next
  7. Input your name in This phone belongs to... > Next
  8. Select Next under Google services.
  9. Select Finish under Setup complete
  10. Now, you will be asked which launcher to use. First, check Use by default for this action for permanent settings (you can change this later). If unsure, don't check this. Select Apex Launcher if you want an ICS experience (recommended). Select MIUIHome if you want the original MIUI interface.
  11. Setup Wifi and Google Account. Wait another 10 minutes and reboot.
  12. You can now start restoring user apps and data on your phone :)
